S – Soft Systems for Hardwood
Overview
Due to climate change, there is an increase in the supply of hardwood. However, beyond the energy sector, there is a very small demand for hardwood in Switzerland. This project aims to develop approaches to improve the framework conditions and to foster innovation that sparks the use of hardwood. The primary goal of this project is to present solutions in the form of measures and policy instruments for the federal government and the cantons.
The project takes the following steps:
- Literature research on hardwood in other countries
- Conducting 1) interviews and 2) transdisciplinary workshops to discuss and reflect on possible solutions in the form of framework conditions necessary to foster innovation
